RIB CHECKLIST

 

Start up procedure

• Remove covers and store under the helm console hatch

• Check log book regarding fueling, last time oil checked etc.

• Check for sufficient life jackets for all people on board

• Turn on battery

• Check bilge.  Run pump  be sure to turn off  

• Check the oil.

• Lower engine into water

• Start Engine.  If low power shut down.  Open and close gas tank filler.  Try starting again

• Make sure water is flowing out of engine

 

Returning to dock

• Tie bow line to main dock

• Shut down engine and raise engine out of water.

• Turn off all electronics on helm console

• Turn off battery

• Update log book with fuel, issues with boat and any other notations necessary

• Lock hatch in front of VHS.

• Wash down boat

• Put cover on CORRECTLY Put Engine Key away

• Put key away at club.
